Surviving the Burn

Surviving the Burn is an ongoing project that spans several mediums. I use photography, collage and sculpture to articulate the following perspectives on surviving global warming; the design of habitats we might build/grow in a symbiotic future, the new relationships we will build between our bodies and nature, the knowledge we may seek to preserve and the information/cultural practices we may want to leave behind.

DARC.EEE is a project designed for the Illuminate Raleigh Project. It is designed as a fictional portal taking the user from a ecologically disaster prone present to an ecologically harmonious future or alternative present. While our industrial and technological prowess as a human race is currently driving us further from ecological equilibrium, DARC.EEE is an advanced piece of technology that will bring us closer to our natural environment.
